A Day At The Ranch 
10:00 – 10:30
Children arrive for a day of fun and learning.
Morning snack and gathering time.
10:30 – 12:00
Sessions 1 – 3. The morning is divided into three sessions. Each child participates daily in thirty minutes of tutoring in multi-sensory phonics and writing in the computer lab. On alternating days, children will practice reading with a reading buddy and participate in small groups. Small group topics include: feelings identification, anger management, getting along with others, and anti-bullying strategies.
12:00 – 12:30
Lunch and recess.
12:30 – 2:45
When available, interactive presentations are offered on cranes, anti-smoking and dog safety/care. Afternoon activities may include a nature hike, participation in the therapeutic horseback riding program, arts and crafts activities, and gardening.
2:45 – 3:00
Closing activities and a snack.
