To Refer a Child
Children come to the Kids' Ranch for many reasons!
The Kids' Ranch program offers children fun filled learning experience during the summer in a camp like natural setting. If identified as needing help learning to read, children then participate in the school year tutoring program. Many children that come to the Kids' Ranch struggle academically. Others may have experienced the death of a loved one or their parent's divorce. Some children may feel isolated, have low self-esteem, be extremely shy, and/or live in a world of violence or poverty.
ANYONE can refer a child for ANY reason. Over 90% of the children are referred by teachers, principals and guidance counselors. Children must be between the ages of 6 and 10 and live within the Baraboo, Reedsburg, Sauk Prairie, or Wisconsin Dells School Districts.
If you know of a child who would benefit from being a part of our program, please call the Kids' Ranch at 608-522-KIDS (5437) or 608-393-1037 (Kids' Ranch local cell number).
