What does a Board Member do?
Depending on availability, everyone attends a monthly or every other month hour long board meeting where your ideas can help shape the future and change the lives of kids.  
Here are some other ways for you to support kids and make a difference as a board member:    

GIVE YOUR TIME

  • Write letters, thank you notes, and emails

  • Make phone calls

  • Help with celebrations at the Ranch

  • Create publicity materials

  • Speak to groups about Kids Ranch

SHARE YOUR EXPERTISE

  • Facilitate partnerships with professional organizations and businesses

  • Advise board and staff on relevant topics such as mental health, literacy, law, fundraising, finances, public relations, graphic design, technology, property maintenance, etc.

USE YOUR INFLUENCE

  • Recruit new volunteers, board members, and staff

  • Facilitate community partnerships

  • Create positive content for Kids Ranch in social media and the press
